NKANDLA FOREST - VITAL INFORMATION
Nkandla has no visitor facilities currently. Any person wishing to visit the reserve or camp in the designated area must contact the Officer in Charge on the telephone number 035 4745020.

Biking and hiking are allowed all year round.

Birdlife is plentiful and about 250 species have been recorded.

4 x 4 vehicles are essential for rainy weather.

Basic food is available at the nearest store which is situated in Nklandla Town about 20km away.

Visitors should carry insect repellant.

How To Get There
Nkandla Forest is about 50 km from Eshowe on the main Eshowe / Nkandla Road and 20 km from Nkandla Town.

The nearest doctor, dentist, hospital, garage with workshop and police station are situated 20 km away at Nkandla. Eshowe, 50km away, offers a greater choice of all these services.
