uKHAHLAMBA DRAKENSBERG PARK - INJISUTHI CAMP SITE

Injisuthi is cradled between the Delmhlwazini and Old Woman streams at the head of the Injisuthi Valley, surrounded by Cathkin Peak, Monks Cowl and Champagne Castle. Injisuthi is a central pivot to the variety of hiking trails that lead across the mountains, north to Cathedral Peak and south to Giant’s Castle.

The Mdedelelo Wilderness Area, just north of the camp, is a unique wild and remote mountain wilderness without any direct human impacts.
Hikers can overnight in one of three nearby caves, the Lower Injisuthi Cave, Marble Baths Cave and Grindstone Cave. Mountain huts are also used as overnight stops on longer hiking trails into the mountains. Injisuthi's large spacious campsites can accommodate 120 people. The well-spaced campsites feature shared taps and barbecues with firewood available for sale. Two ablution blocks feature hot and cold water, flush toilets, showers, a bath and dishwashing facilities. Three two-bed safari tents are also available at the Injisuthi campsite. Injisuthi camp has fifteen fully equipped self-contained four-bed cabins and one eight-bed group cabin for the convenience of guests. Tel: (036) 431 7848/9 Fax: (036) 431 7849.
