GREATER ST LUCIA WETLAND PARK - LISTER POINT CAMP SITE - FALSE BAY
False Bay Park is a special place tucked away on the Western shores of the st Lucia
Lake complex, with fascinating marine and coral fossils found scattered throughout the area. The
unique diversity facilitates excellent bird watching and game viewing
opportunities.
Two self-guided walking trails have been established to allow visitors to enjoy the full benefit
of the area. High concentrations of crocodiles in the lake prevent swimming, however boating and
fishing are very popular and a viewing platform on the lake side near the camp commands magnificent
views of the Greater St Lucia wetland park, especially at sunset. The beautifully situated south
facing campsites, commanding magnificent views across False Bay to Hell's Gate, accommodate both
caravans and tents.
Most campsites are electrified with plug points. The north facing campsites provide easy access
for caravans and are not electrified. All campsites feature shared coldwater taps and barbecue
facilities. Ablution facilities provide hot and cold running water, flush toilets, showers and
dishwashing basins but no laundry facilities. Lister Point also provides a shop for the convenience
of guests.
Nearby Dugandlovu camp provides rustic chalet accommodation for guests.
