This is a diverse and exciting edition which includes the launch of
the Wildside Africa Photographic competition sponsored by Canon with excellent prizes, and a feast
of holiday options for you to explore including places alongside sprawling beaches, soaring
mountains, and vast bush landscapes. There is great outdoor adventure including snow ski-ing and
snow-boarding, and coverage of the ultimate hike in the Drakensberg if not in Africa.
On a more serious note, there is also the all important Corporate Social Responsibility feature.
One of Wildside's distinguishing features as a travel magazine, is its commitment to conservation
and the world around us, which we know our thinking readers, whilst loving the travel, adventure
and activity, appreciate because they understand broader issues.
The South Coast is covered in this edition, and as we went to press, the devastating floods that
tragically affected many people was in the news. Wildside extends condolences to all those
