iSiMANGALISO WETLAND PARK - CAPE VIDAL CAMPING

Cape Vidal is a beautiful coastal resort which holds the unique distinction of
allowing visitors access to both the wildlife of the iSimangaliso Wetland Park as well as the
marine life of the Indian Ocean coast. On the same day one could see hippo, crocodile, buffalo,
elephant, whale, marlin, dolphin and a variety of water, forest or grassland birds.
The sheltered bay has a designated launch site for ski boats with excellent off-shore angling,
spear fishing and snorkelling. This family destination also offers guided walking trails around the
fascinating wetlands and the Lake Bhangazi shoreline, humpback whales are seen on their northerly
migration to Mocambique to calve and in summer loggerhead turtles come onto the beaches to lay
their eggs. Cape Vidal campsite features 50 campsites set into the coastal dunes, accommodating
both tents and caravans, with cold water taps and barbacue facilities.
The three modern ablutions have hot and cold running water, flush toilets, showers, baths,
basins and laundry and dish washing facilities. Cape Vidal also features extensive self-catering
