Here in the heart of Africa are twenty-first century conference facilities superbly incorporated within an authentic African game reserve. THE FACILITIES TO COMMUNICATE
The centre is situated at the foot of the Ngotshe plateau. It’s a beautiful thatched complex consisting of a foyer, a large verandah, the main auditorium and two smaller conference halls or breakaway rooms. The versatility of the air-conditioned main auditorium speaks for itself: it offers a cinema style seating arrangement for up to 90 people, a lecture style for 60 or a single U-shape for 30 people. The two breakaway rooms are also air-conditioned and each offers a cinema-style seating arrangement for 22 people, lecture style for 18 and single U-shape for 16.

Equipment in the main auditorium is state of the art, with a fully equipped projection room containing an integrated sound system, lapel mike, digital projector and big screen, DVD, video and slide projector all controlled through an LCD panel. In addition, the complex in equipped with white boards both fixed and movable, flip charts and overhead projectors. An efficient photocopy service and access to the internet is also provided.
Conference chalets are equipped with DSTV.

Apart from having conference equipment similar to that of the main auditorium, the two breakaway rooms enjoy the advantage of also having a Flexirail system. The resident Conference Co-ordinator will assist prospective conference organisers with the planning of all conferences.The Centre also caters for the physically disabled.

ACCOMMODATION TO REVIVE AND REFRESH
Twenty-eight charming chalets cater for up to fifty-six delegates. Each chalet has two single beds, toilet and shower en suite and last, but not least, a quiet study nook. Further accommodation is available in similar chalets in the adjacent Main camp. There is also a luxurious six-bed lodge situated close to the Conference Centre. The main reception area in Ithala is luxurious and blends in completely with the environment. Here there is a delightful fully-licensed restaurant and bar, a curio shop, swimming pool, coffee shop, information centre and a nearby boma, where delegates may enjoy a meal.

As for relaxation during a busy conference programme Ithala offers a large variety of activities: open-vehicle game drives, guided walks where one may encounter elephant, white and black rhino,leopard, giraffe, kudu, tsessebe, waterbuck and eland, to mention but a few. There is also a self-guided trail for visitors who would like to explore the hills in the vicinity of the camp. Visitors may opt for barbecues in the bush and there is even a self-drive trail for the more independent. At Ithala, so much is possible; and what could be finer than starting the day with a champagne breakfast and ending it with a spit braai in the boma?
 
CONVENIENT ACCESS
There is a 1 200 metre tarred airstrip to suit most light commercial aircraft, plus a tarred access road (capable of carrying 48-seater coaches) leading right into the camp. The Ntshondwe Conference Centre is situated outside Louwsburg in Northern KwaZulu-Natal. It is an easy four and a half to five hours drive from Johannesburg and four hours from Durban. The roads to Ithala are tarred all the way.
 
WEDDING VENUE
Ithala`s Ntshondwe Camp and its conference centre make a wonderful venue for weddings. This special place with its spectacular scenery provides the perfect backdrop for a memorable wedding with photographic opportunities and other special activities for a unique day.
